This paracord clasp in three pieces is an original Kruger design, depicting the norse dragon Fafnir in incredible detail. On the second part of the clasp is the protective Ægishjálmur rune.

In Norse mythology, Fáfnir is a son of the dwarf king Hreidmar and brother of Regin, Ótr, Lyngheiðr, and Lofnheiðr. After being affected by the curse of Andvari's ring and gold, Fafnir became a dragon and was slain by Sigurd.

The Helm of Awe or Helm of Terror (Icelandic: Ægishjálmur), is an object in Norse mythology and subsequently the name of an Icelandic magical stave.  The "Helm of Terror" is referenced as one item Sigurd takes from the dragon Fafnir's hoard after he slays him in Völsunga saga.

“The Helm of Awe

I wore before the sons of men

In defense of my treasure;

Amongst all, I alone was strong,

I thought to myself,

For I found no power a match for my own.”

Great quality and detail

My order arrived in time and very well packaged. I bought one gold colored brass and one white brass. They are even more beautiful than the pictures of them. Love the details and quality. I was a bit worried about the little screw that holds the clasp together but it is very well maid and will hold for taking the bracelet on and off. I will order from Kruger EDC again.
